I was born with Turner Syndrome a rare genetic chromosomal growth disorder. This affects only females and is present in about 1 in 2500 births and about 2% of girls with this survive to birth. TS is a defect of the second x chromosome. This also has other health issues such as hearing, heart, kidney issues to name a few. I was told I would not be able to drive do things like throw a frisbee amoung other activities requiring fine moter skills and hand eye corridation. Drs said I would be unable to live independent of my parents. I am glad to say that is not the plan of God, I am an overcomer and completed school with honors and at the top 3rd of my class, graduated college with a degree in psychology. Not bad for a girl not supposed to be able to drive or ride a bike, by the way I do that also! I have started a non profit called Beauty4AshesKC and I believe everylife is beautiful. I want to share hope and encourage others and know they can overcome there situations as well. I was blessed with parents that did not limit me but rather belived in the potiential of what I can be. I believe every life has purpose and everone has great potential to go out and change the world.
